Wood Stork (Mycteria americana)
St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park
Wood storks along with many other birds are known to be monogamous and some are even said to mate for life, but I say this with a grain of salt. In reality, many birds cheat on or divorce their mates during their lifetime. Instead, they are more accurately known to be socially monogamous where the male and female cooperate during the breeding season. Nonetheless, The affection in this photo is very real and I think it is safe to say that these two are "together" and will be for some time.
